i am a software developer by day, and also a software developer by night... but like, for fun stuff. my areas of focus are in functional programming, realtime data processing, and distributed systems (especially kubernetes).
in my free time, my technical interests include tinkering with my many old computers, giving them new life and eeking out as much performance as i can. recently i have been exploring the gnu guix system as a completely free (as in freedom) operating system based on a functional programming language (scheme).
my non techincal interests include playing board games with my friends (i love magic the gathering), running, swimming, baking, and playing final fantasy 14 with my wife. I also enjoy studying spanish and japanese.
